Position Details:

• Full Time, Days
• No Call
• 50% outpatient and 50% inpatient
• 40 hours/week or 410-hour days, 7a-530p
• Primary location is IU West to support the primary surgeon but with cross coverage that can span to the AHC, North and Fishers at times for 1st assist in the OR as needed
• APP must have experience in surgery/ surgery subspecialties (1 year preferred). Must have a history of seeing patients autonomously in an outpatient setting.
• Previous OR 1st assist.
• Procedural experience including wound debridement and wound closure with suturing

Key Responsibilities:

• 1st assist in the OR for primary surgeon, new consults and post-op appointments, minor procedures, inpatient rounding and discharges.

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree required
• ACNP, AGNP, FNP orPA certification required
• Open to new grads but must have surgery clinical rotation
• 1 yearof clinical APP experience preferred
• Wound care and research experiencepreferred
