Beacon Children’s Hospital, a Beacon Medical Group Practice, is seeking full-time & part-time BC/BE Pediatric Hospitalists to join our practice in South Bend, Indiana. Our position provides the rare opportunity to join a well-established community-based program focused on evidence-based practice, participate in quality improvement projects, and work with a group of awesome people, while providing clinical care to children with a wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.
Pediatric Hospitalist Job Summary
Beacon’s Pediatric Hospital Medicine program provides comprehensive care for hospitalized infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. Responsibilities include general and subspecialty/surgical care, as well as moderate sedation, in addition to teaching of Family Medicine residents, Hospital Medicine program development and quality improvement initiatives.
As the region’s only designated children’s hospital, Beacon Children’s Hospital serves as a referral center for 29 hospitals across Southwestern Michigan and Northern Indiana. Our team treats a wide variety of complex medical and surgical conditions, offering families access to advanced pediatric care close to home. The Hospital Medicine group works closely with a wide variety of pediatric specialists as part of a multidisciplinary approach.

About the Practice
You will join a dedicated and collegial team established in 2007, composed of seven pediatric hospitalists. Built in 2017, Beacon Children’s Hospital is a “children’s hospital within a hospital” and includes a 24-bed pediatric unit, a 10-bed PICU fully staffed by pediatric intensivists, and a Level 3 NICU covered exclusively by neonatologists and NNPs.
