Job Description

Physician-Owned Outpatient Practice | Work-Life Balance & Mountain Views in Colorado’s Front Range

Create the Career You Love. Are you a physician interested in the opportunity to be a business owner? Boulder Medical Center is an independent, physician-owned and physician-operated multi-specialty practice. With 98 Providers and growing, our Providers continue to place patients first since 1949.

As a physician-owned practice, we retain the ability to do what's best for our patients by providing the highest quality of care and service. BMC has more autonomy over key decisions, which can lead to higher satisfaction and lower burnout than in hospitals or corporations. Be a business owner without the administrative headaches that normally come with it.

Job Summary:

Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is actively recruiting a full-time, compassionate, and skilled Comprehensive Ophthalmologist to join the practice in our Boulder office. The ideal candidate would be an addition to the two ophthalmologists we currently have in the department who will be condensing their practice into one job-share position. Many primary care partners ensure a steady source of referrals to supplement a large number of established patients. We have an in-house optical department. Intraocular surgery is performed at a hospital-owned ASC. The practice runs at a comfortable pace (about 20-30 patients/day/doctor). We use the Epic electronic medical record system and have a Humphrey Visual Field, a Zeiss OCT/photo, an IOL Master, topographer, and a YAG/Argon laser in the office. Emergency calls are shared with other ophthalmologists in the community (about 4 weeks of call per year). The position offers an 18-month guaranteed salary followed by a partnership buy-in.

Benefits:

  • 4 weeks of vacation
  • 1 week of CME
  • Retirement Plan
  • Paid Malpractice
  • Relocation Reimbursement
