The Cape Coral VA Clinic is actively recruiting a board-certified or board-eligible Psychiatrist to join our Mental Health Intensive Case Management (MHICM) team—a nationally recognized, community-based program serving Veterans living with serious mental illness.
This is a unique opportunity to work within a recovery-focused, interdisciplinary team delivering comprehensive mental health care both in the clinic and in the community. MHICM supports Veterans with complex psychiatric needs—such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and severe depression—through assertive outreach and integrated care.
Position Highlights:
Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and care coordination
Participate in treatment planning, crisis intervention, and home/community visits as needed
Lead and consult on complex cases as part of a multidisciplinary team
Flexible care delivery including clinic-based and field-based care
