POSITION DUTIES:- Perform a variety of professional direct health care clinical duties within the field of Soldier Medicine. Assess, plan, evaluate, and modify the plan of acute and chronically ill patients. - Provide surveillance of adherence to medical and primary care practices and procedures to stabilize chronically ill patients. - Write prescriptions, order the administration of medications, dispense medication and prescribe controlled substances in accordance with scope of practice for Physician Assistants. - Perform physical examinations such as military schools, employment, sports, annual, retirement, discharge, reenlistment, disability separation or retirement, and other special physicals. - Provide consultation, teaching, and coordination with patients of treatment and medical care. PERFORMS OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
