Critical Care - Intensivist Job at Defense Health Agency Medical Civilian Corps in Hawaii

MAJOR DUTIES: - Administer oxygen, IV fluid, blood transfusion and prescribed oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications. - Set up, operate and monitor specialized equipment such as cardiac monitors, ventilators, defibrillators, hemodynamic monitoring etc. - Manage nasal, pharyngeal and gastric suction as well as a variety of other drainage tubes. - Collaborate with multi-disciplinary health-care team. - Independently determine and implement proper emergency measures after identifying and interpreting life-threatening conditions and initiating life-saving measures. - Observe, monitor and assess patient’s condition. - Develop and revise nursing care plan accordingly. - Develop meaningful goals to assist critically ill patient and family. Performs other duties as assigned.
