We are hiring a swing shift and a Nocturnist physician. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Qualifications:

• A medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution is required.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• An active medical license in California or eligibility for licensure is required.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling:

• The swing position schedule is 12 pm to 12 am
• The nocturnist schedule is 7 PM – 7 AM.
• 7 on/7 off block schedule

Key Responsibilities:

• The nocturnist’s role is responsible for admissions and cross coverage, Swing Hospitalist support from 7 pm-12 am.
• The swing position is responsible for admissions, with support of 6 hospitalists (flex to 7 during busier winter months) as well as overlap with the Nocturnist physician from 7 pm to 12 am.
• Washington Hospital is a 415-bed acute-care hospital with a 28-bed ICU and 23-bed emergency room.
• Closed ICU the ICU team runs 24/7 intensivist support and codes.
• Manageable workload and encounters foster a balanced and supportive work environment.
• Epic EMR and have access to Sound Physicians’ internal informatics platform for streamlined and efficient workflow.

• Compensation:
  • The yearly base salary for a nocturnist is $382,200 plus quality and productivity bonuses.
  • The yearly base salary for the swing position is $354,900 plus quality and productivity bonuses.
