Job Description

Title: Express Care Nurse Practitioner
Schedule: PRN (as needed)
Location: National Landing, VA
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking and physical exams, to support accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
Administer treatments, medications, and immunizations per established protocols.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to deliver coordinated, high-quality care.
Perform minor procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care when necessary.
Educate patients on disease prevention, health maintenance, and follow-up care.
Accurately document clinical findings and treatments in accordance with legal and regulatory standards.
Support clinic operations and quality improvement initiatives as needed.
Remain up to date on express care protocols, evidence-based guidelines, and best practices.

Minimum Requirements

Valid and active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of Virginia.
Certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program.
Graduate degree in Nursing studies from an accredited institution.
At least 2 years of clinical experience in express care, urgent care, emergency medicine, or a related field preferred.
