The major duties of a Physician - Pulmonologist will include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions.
  • Diagnose and manage complex pulmonary and critical care disorders.
  • Provide intensive care to critically ill patients, managing respiratory failure, sepsis, and multi-organ dysfunction.
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests, bronchoscopy, and sleep studies.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient diagnoses and needs.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare providers, to deliver comprehensive patient care. 

  Position Highlights:

  • Likely starting base salary range: $280,000.00 - $400,000.00
  • Malpractice: Liability protection
  • 50-55 days of annual paid time offer per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
  • Federal Retirement Plan

  • EDRP eligibility – potential for significant student loan repayment
  • Tour of duty Monday - Friday 08:00 AM - 4:30 PM

 

Basic Requirements:

  • Board certified in Pulmonary Disease and/or Critical Care.
