Job Description

The Department of Radiology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center seeks a Cardiothoracic Radiologist to join our growing faculty in Dallas, TX.

 

This is an opportunity to work alongside a distinguished team of academic radiologists, access cutting-edge imaging technology, and mentor the next generation of radiologists in a dynamic and collaborative environment. As part of our Division of Cardiothoracic Imaging, you will have a vital role in providing exceptional care while advancing medical education and innovation. Academic rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.

 

Faculty provide clinical services across several key sites, including Clements University Hospital, Parkland Health and Hospital System, and a network of affiliated outpatient clinics.

 

  1. Divisional duties include supervising and interpreting cardiac and thoracic imaging studies, providing consultation to referring physicians, and potentially performing various thoracic interventional procedures
  2. Access state-of-the-art imaging equipment which includes the latest generation of MRI, CT, and PET-CT scanners, as well as enterprise-wide EMR, PACS, 3D processing software, voice recognition dictation, and other electronic resources
  3. Work with residents, fellows, and medical students in one of the largest radiology training programs in the United States
  4. Receive high-level mentorship in the pursuit of scholarly activities
  5. Develop and grow clinical and research interests in any area within the scope of cardiothoracic imaging

Candidate Requirements:

  1. Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or foreign equivalent
  2. Candidates must have completed a minimum of 1 year of fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Imaging
  3. Eligibility for full Texas medical licensure and its acquisition prior to the start of employment is required
  4. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time schedule
