A Clinical Infusion/IV Technician is responsible for preparing and administering medications and fluids, monitoring patients for adverse reactions, and maintaining accurate records of IV treatments. They are also responsible for maintaining and sterilizing equipment, and providing patient education on IV therapy
IV technicians will insert and monitor IV equipment and medication.
Work under the supervision of medical professionals in the office.

- Conducting laboratory tests and updating the provider on results
- Conducting and documenting quality control procedures
- Managing and reconciling medication inventory
- Updating patient records and reports
- Communicating with patients regarding laboratory results and test procedures
- Scheduling patients for their appointment
- Ensuring Prior Auth and Approved referrals on file before scheduling and administering medications
