The ideal candidate should be capable of both General Neurology and Stroke.
CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates and provides direction for stroke care at Olean General Hospital and oversees the systems and programs that are involved in the implementation and ongoing improvement of evidenced-based stroke care.
- Provides leadership and drives program development to maintain Primary Stroke Center accreditation.
- Coordinates and provides direction to the facility's stroke care team including communication and coordination with the medical staff, nursing and others as appropriate
- Acts as a resource with regulatory agencies and makes recommendations for compliance and maintains mandatory documentation as required.
- Duties include direct in-patient consultation services and outpatient care
QUALIFICATIONS
- Medical degree from an accredited university.
- A valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number.
- Board certified in General Neurology and completed residency in an ACGME accredited Neurology residency program.
- Completion of a fellowship in vascular neurology preferred.
