Opportunity

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is seeking a new Full-Time Midwife to join our experienced team within our Family Medicine Residency. 

TMH Family Practice Midwives provide holistic care to women and immediate newborns, in both the out-patient and inpatient setting, based on current research-based evidence, and focusing on pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum period, and family planning.  Our Nurse Midwives manage/co-manage a wide range of patients from low to high risk, including patients with multiple comorbities with constant support from MFM, OB Faculty and OB Fellows. In addition, they provide 24/7 OB/ED coverage and hospital-wide obstetric emergency care as needed. 

Located within a teaching practice, our ARNP Certified Nurse Midwives act as professional role models and are responsible for self-development and sharing educational information with peers and colleagues. They have an important role in teaching family practice residents during their obstetric rotation and practice with/ provide support for Family Medicine Obstetric Fellows. Our CNMs can be found caring for patients in several rural health departments  in the Tallahassee region, as well as more traditional midwifery care in the office.

Our current team has decades of experience and love to teach, so new graduates are encouraged. Spanish fluency is a major plus.

At full capacity, this is a team of 8, sharing responsibilities for 24/7 OB/ED, 7 day a week night call, and outpatient practice.
