Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine’s Department of Cardiovascular Services is seeking a qualified cardiologist specializing in Structural Heart Interventional Cardiology to join its faculty. Marshall Cardiology is a close-knit, dependable community of physicians looking for our newest partners. We are a busy growing practice, also looking to hire more Advanced Heart Failure Specialists, Cardiac Imaging Specialists, and Non-Invasive Cardiologists.
This position will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, have experience in performing Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) closure, Transcatheter Mitral Valve Repair (MitraClip), Left Atrial Appendage Closure (Watchman), diagnostic coronary angiography, structural heart, interventional coronary procedures, and aortic valve replacement to outpatients in an ambulatory practice and for inpatients as assigned on a rotational basis.
This position will participate in after-hours on call coverage rotations.
This position will combine clinical care with formal and in-formal teaching activities for cardiology fellows, residents and medical students and an appointment to the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine (with ACGME- approved general cardiology and interventional fellowship programs).
This appointment is available for Assistant or Associate Professor, non-tenured clinical track or tenure-track educator for qualified applicants.
As a department faculty member, the individual will participate in clinical and translational research and encourage residents and cardiology fellows to participate in these scholarly studies.
