Riverside Medical Group is seeking full-time physicians—board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Psychiatry trained physicians —to join our innovative Psychiatric Emergency Department (PED) at Riverside Mental Health & Recovery Center (RMHRC). The RMHRC is an inpatient facility offering a comprehensive range of behavioral health treatment programs.
This is a unique opportunity to practice in Virginia’s first dedicated Psychiatric Emergency Department, a groundbreaking care model that has garnered recognition across the Commonwealth, including from the Governor’s Office, for its leadership in crisis mental health care.
Position Highlights:
- Flexible scheduling options: Full-time, part-time, and PRN positions available
- Full-time schedule: Block shifts—three 12-hour shifts per week
- Provide acute services for short-term psychiatric and medical care to adolescents and adults in crisis requiring emergency intervention
- Collaborate with a compassionate, multidisciplinary team to stabilize patients and transition them to appropriate levels of care
- Perform comprehensive evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning
- Leverage Epic for seamless care coordination across inpatient and outpatient settings
