Advanced Cardiac Imaging Specialist Opportunity!


This position involves working as an Advanced Imager or Acute Cardiologist at CAMC, primarily focused on CT, using your expertise in non-invasive cardiology to provide high-quality care to patients.

Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) was established in 1972 and is a nonprofit, 1,138-bed regional tertiary referral center made up of seven hospitals: General Hospital, Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Memorial Hospital, Plateau Medical Center, Teays Valley Hospital, Women and Children’s Hospital, and Charleston Surgical Hospital. In addition to the hospitals, CAMC is comprised of the Institute for Academic Medicine and the CAMC Foundation. More than 1,500 providers are members of the medical staff of CAMC, which is also West Virginia's premiere medical teaching facility, hosting, on any given day, more than 1,000 students in programs leading to degrees or certifications in health professions.


Major/Essential Functions

· Use advanced cardiac imaging techniques like echocardiography, cardiac MRI, CT scans, and nuclear imaging to identify abnormalities.

· Work closely with other cardiologists to ensure the most appropriate cardiac imaging modality.

· Diagnosis and treatment planning for cardiovascular disease.

· Provide patient care in the outpatient clinic and inpatient setting.

· Teaching of fellows, residents and medical students.

· Ability to participate in research.


Education

Training:

MD/DO (or equivalent) who has successfully completed an accredited cardiovascular disease fellowship program and advanced training in CT/MRI.
• Must be board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiology.
• Cardiac MRI: Level 2 or 3 with board certification/eligible with a plan to become certified
• Cardiac CT: Level 2 or 3
• Echocardiography: Level 2 or 3



Credentials

Graduate of an accredited ACGME cardiology residency program.

Board Certified with the ABIM in cardiology.
