Dental Public Health Job at Veterans Health Administration in Knoxville, TN

The Veterans Administration (VA) Clinic in Knoxville, TN is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dentist to provide high-quality dental care to our nation's veterans.  This position offers the opportunity to serve those who have served our country, delivering comprehensive oral health care in a collaborative and patient-centered environment.   

Key responsibilities: 

• Perform routine and complex dental procedures, including exams, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and prosthetic services.   
• Diagnose and treat oral diseases, conditions, and injuries. 
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients. 
• Provide patient education on preventative dental care and oral hygiene. 
• Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records
• Adhere to VA policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.   
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.   

Qualifications: 

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school. 
  
• A current, unrestricted dental license to practice in any U.S. state or territory.   
• U.S. citizenship (per federal hiring requirements). 
• Experience in general dentistry
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
• Commitment to serving the veteran community with compassionate and high-quality care.
