Job Description

The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Board Certified / Board Eligible full-time Physiatry provider with a focus on Brain Injury - to join our outstanding PM&R team. As a faculty member, you will have the opportunity to provide care in our inpatient, outpatient, and consultative services. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the education and training of future physicians while providing exceptional patient care in a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility, clinic, and consultative service.

Position Requirements:
Education & Training:
  1. Medical Degree (MD or DO) 
  2. Residency in PM&R 
  3. Fellowship in Brain Injury Medicine (BIM) 

Board Certification:

  • American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR) certification in PM&R. (or board eligible)
  • Subspecialty certification in Brain Injury Medicine through ABPMR or the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) 

Clinical Experience:

  • Inpatient & Outpatient Neurorehabilitation – Managing acute and chronic brain injuries in rehabilitation hospitals, outpatient clinics, or long-term care settings.
  • Multidisciplinary Care – Working with speech, occupational, and physical therapists, neuropsychologists, and social workers to optimize recovery.
  • Spasticity Management – Experience with Botox injections, baclofen pumps, and other interventions.
  • Cognitive & Behavioral Management – Treating post-TBI cognitive impairments, mood disorders, and agitation.
  • Concussion Management – Specializing in mild TBI, post-concussion syndrome, and return-to-work/sport protocols.
