The University of Arizona–Tucson/Banner University Medicine Department of Surgery is recruiting a passionate and motivated abdominal multi-organ transplant surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. This is an exciting time for abdominal transplantation in Tucson, as we expand into cutting-edge areas such as robot-assisted transplant surgery and prepare to launch auto-islet transplantation and a living donor liver transplant program in the near future. The University of Arizona-Tucson is home to the prestigious and internationally recognized BIO5 institute renowned for groundbreaking research in cellular transplantation and organ regeneration. Additionally, the Boyer Liver Institute, a state-funded center of excellence, is driving forward innovative investigations in liver disease.
We’re looking for a dynamic and modular transplant surgeon skilled in both kidney and liver transplantation, who is ready to write the next chapter of their career with innovative transplant practice in liver-kidney-pancreas transplant. Expertise in robotic surgery, auto-islet transplant, or living donor liver transplantation is highly desirable and will be fully supported. There is ample surgical and academic mentorship within the Department and the College of Medicine to support your advancing career.

Qualifications and Essential Functions:
· BC/BE in General Surgery
· Completed ASTS accredited transplant fellowship program
· Valid AZ license (or eligible to receive)
· Training in multi-organ procurement, kidney, liver, and pancreas transplantation is essential
· Applicants should have demonstrated skill and interest in teaching learners at all levels
· Opportunities for research as well as leadership development are available
