Job Description

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine is seeking an Open Rank faculty member to join our growing Division of Neonatology. The Division of Neonatology is based out of the USF Health campus at Tampa General Hospital and is expanding to Tampa General Hospital North - Spring Hill. This faculty position will be based at the TGH North - Spring Hill NICU, a 10-bed Level II unit that is only one of two serving Hernando County. A multi-disciplinary team of neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners, nurses, nutritionists and respiratory therapists take a collaborative, evidence-based approach to the management of complicated neonatal problems. Faculty based at Spring Hill will be members of the division which participates in the Florida Perinatal Quality Collaborative, Vermont Oxford Network and UHC.

 

  1. Teaching Duties: The faculty member appointed will be encouraged to contribute to departmental teaching programs involving medical students and house staff.
  2. Research Duties: Collaborative effort within the Department and the University will be encouraged.
  3. Clinical Duties: Provide medical care for neonates in the Level 2 NICU to include onsite call coverage (nights and weekends) as well as call coverage from home.
