Job Description

Highlights:

  1. Primarily Outpatient Practice: Focus on providing specialized care in a supportive outpatient environment.
  2. Diverse Caseload: Engage with a variety of cases, enhancing your professional expertise.
  3. Academic and Teaching Opportunities: Contribute to the education of residents and medical students.
  4. Procedure Clinic opportunity: Ultrasound available
  5. Schedule: Typical shifts are Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with potential part-time options.

Qualifications:

  1. MD or DO degree
  2. BE/BC Rheumatology
  3. Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or District of Columbia.

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME). In addition, there is an opportunity for Paid Parental Leave

Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA
Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)
CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification)
