Job Title: Assistant/Associate Professor (GIM Ambulatory Care)

Department: Internal Medicine
Position Responsibilities: Morehouse School of Medicine, located in Atlanta, GA seeks to hire an Ambulatory Care Internal Medicine MD to oversee the outpatient clinic
.15 percent of the time admin, the rest of time spent attending the resident clinic if you have ran a clinic you are ideal not a must
Engage in teaching, research, and clinical service in General Internal Medicine (GIM). Participate in the department's teaching program. Engage in patient care activities consistent with the department’s needs and the faculty member’s interests. Assume administrative duties such as serving on institutional committees and assisting with the Internal Medicine Residency Program and/or Clerkship Program.
Specific Duties:
- Serve on department, institutional and community-based committees
- May serve as Course Director for undergraduate medical education courses
- May provide resident and medical student supervision
- May undertake clinical responsibilities at Morehouse Healthcare, Grady Health Systems, or other affiliated sites as assigned
- Assist with resident recruitment, including interviewing candidates
Education/Experience Required:
- MD degree
- Georgia Medical License, Board Certification in Internal Medicine
- Preferred experience in medical student and/or resident teaching
- Good interpersonal skills
- High level of professionalism
