Key Responsibilities
- Initiate comprehensive health assessments leveraging advanced diagnostic tools.
- Identify and address immediate patient needs, utilizing innovative referral systems for long-term management.
- Conduct physical examinations and maintain meticulous documentation for seamless patient care coordination.
- Engage in collaborative consultations with specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure cutting-edge treatment plans.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to support data-driven therapeutic decisions.
- Supervise and mentor mid-level providers, enhancing team capabilities and healthcare delivery.
- Educate patients on cutting-edge health promotion and disease prevention strategies.
- Foster a team-oriented environment to enhance patient care and customer service delivery.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including participation in regular safety training and audits.
- Commit to lifelong learning by completing annual education programs and staying ahead in medical advancements.
EDUCATION & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be licensed in Texas as an MD or DO
- Must have active DEA
- Successful completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency or clinical fellowship in Internal Medicine; a current certification in Internal Medicine
- Ability to meet Legacy Community Health’s EPIC proficiency requirements.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience in a hospital and/or clinic setting.
- Must be proficient with all aspects of EMR.
