Radiation Oncologist - South Texas Veterans Health Care System (San Antonio, TX)

Make a profound impact on the lives of our nation's veterans as a Radiation Oncologist at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System's Audie L. Murphy VA Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. We're seeking a compassionate and skilled physician to join our dedicated team.

About the Role:

As a Radiation Oncologist, you will:

  • Provide exceptional direct patient care, adhering to national and VA quality standards.
  • Teach and supervise medical students and residents.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and clinical/academic committees.
  • Engage in research opportunities with support from the VA and MD Anderson Mays Cancer Center.

Qualifications:

  • MD/DO degree.
  • Board Certification in Radiation Oncology from the American Board of Radiology.
  • Proficiency in Mim and Raystation software.
  • Prior VA experience is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive Salary: $375,000 - $385,000 annually, plus up to $15,000 in performance pay.
  • Generous Incentives: Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), relocation assistance, and potential sign-on bonus.
  • Work-Life Balance: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with limited shared on-call responsibilities.
  • Academic Opportunities: Potential for faculty appointment at UT Health San Antonio's Radiation Oncology program.
