Beacon Health System is seeking a Full Spectrum Family Medicine physician to fill the role of Associate Director for the Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program. Highlights of this position include protected administrative time and opportunities to take leadership roles within the residency program. Our residency program is dedicated to advancements in family medicine education and practice including POCUS, simulation based education, procedures, and chronic disease management. Candidate will have the opportunity to provide care to underserved patient populations including refugee health and street medicine. You will be working with high quality residents, 2 of which were recently awarded the AAFP Award for Excellence in Graduate Medical Education, an award bestowed to just 12 residents nationally.
Our core missions is to provide the highest quality medical education to residents while providing the best medical care and services to our patients. Position includes teaching and mentorship of family medicine residents practicing full spectrum family medicine. All faculty at Memorial Family Medicine practice full spectrum care including outpatient clinical medicine, inpatient adult and pediatric medicine. Obstetrical involvement and interest is encouraged. Faculty have reduced clinical time and protected administrative time to allow for continued programmatic development. Our residency is a 10-10-10, fully ACGME accredited, unopposed program that strives to provide excellent patient care, often to underserved patient populations. We have an OB Fellowship, Health Service Management fellowship, and Sports Medicine fellowship associated with our residency. Our residency was recently recognized nationally by the ACGME with the 2018 DeWitt (Bud) C. Baldwin, Jr. Award for fostering a respectful and supportive learning environment for graduate medical education. Candidates will be expected to support the missions of Memorial Family Medicine Residency and Beacon Health System. Qualified candidates will be board-certified in family medicine.
