The Louis A Johnson Clarksburg VAMC is looking for a Primary Care Physician to join our team. At the Clarksburg VA, our healthcare teams are deeply experienced and guided by the needs of veterans, their families, and caregivers.
The Primary Care Physician will provide medical services for veterans (mostly male) on an outpatient basis in the primary care setting. Disease processes include, but are not limited to, diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, mental health disorders, etc., with a major focus on preventive medicine.Duties & Responsibilities:
Excellent work schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or Monday–Thursday 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Salary: Starting at 250K
Incentive/Benefits Package:
Recruitment Incentive: Sign-on bonus
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program.
Pay: Competitive salary 250K-400K, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal thrift savings plan (TSP) with up to 5% in contributions by VA (3 years vesting)
Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)
CME: Annual CME allowance with 5 days for attending CME events
Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided
Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restrictions on moonlighting
Contract Buy Out Program: This position may be eligible for the Physician / Provider Contract Buy Out Program (CBOP), which authorizes VHA to buy out service contracts (Locum agreements, loan repayments, sign-on bonus contracts, Physician-owned practices) in exchange for employment at certain rural or highly rural facilities for a period of obligated service (minimum 4 years).
