Job Description

Are you passionate about delivering high-quality outpatient psychiatric care? We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Physician to join our integrative and collaborative team at Hightop Health, a premier outpatient mental health group serving multiple communities throughout the Atlanta area.

We are currently expanding and hiring for our Johns Creek and Douglasville clinics. If you would prefer to work with us at one of our other clinic locations- reach out! As we do have continued growth plans. (additional locations in Roswell, Marietta, Cartersville, Smyrna, and Midtown Atlanta.)

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments
  2. Diagnose and treat mental health disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADHD, and co-occurring substance use
  3. Create and manage personalized, outcome-driven treatment plans; adjust as clinically indicated
  4. Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications, considering efficacy, side effects, and patient preferences
  5. Provide supportive therapy; refer to our network of providers for specialized psychotherapies like CBT, DBT, or PET
  6. Oversee interventional treatments, including IV Ketamine and TMS, and refer to IOP programs when needed
  7. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, NPs, psychologists, and therapists
  8. Order and interpret labs, diagnostic tests, and medical consultations to support integrated care
  9. Supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) with protected time and structured collaboration
  10. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Ideal Candidate:

  1. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry, with completion of an accredited four- year psychiatric residency program
  2. In-depth knowledge of psychiatric disorders and treatment modalities
  3. Desire to learn and deliver advanced interventions, including TMS, Spravato, ketamine, and IOP
  4. Excellent diagnostic skills with ability to develop comprehensive treatment plans that integrate biological, psychological, social, and existential factors
  5. Proficient in supportive therapy and discerning when to refer for specialized psychotherapies
  6. Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and clinical collaborators
  7. Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and attention to clinical documentation
