Great opportunity for a full-time Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our Orthopedic, Spine & Pain Management team. Working under the supervision of the orthopedic surgeon(s), the Physician Assistant (PA-C) is responsible for first assisting in the operating room, providing post-operative management, patient/family education and discharge planning. In the out-patient clinic setting performs histories and physical exams, evaluates new and established patients, orders, and interprets diagnostic studies and initiates therapeutic treatment plans.

Duties:
- In the office clinic setting, the Physician Assistant (PA-C) will have independent clinics, seeing about 20 patients per day.
- Performs histories and physical exams, evaluates new, established, and post-procedure and post-op patients
- Orders and interprets diagnostic studies and initiates therapeutic treatment plans.
- Provide timely and complete clinical documentation in the EHR following patient visits or telephone calls
- Maintain ongoing communication with physicians regarding assigned patients and provide timely notification of changes in patient status
- Maintain ongoing communication with other members of the care team through written documentation, telephone or in-person conversation
Requirements:
- Graduate of a Physician Assistant Training Program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA), or its predecessors.
- Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Committee on Certification Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required.
- Current California State Licensed Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C)
- DEA license required.
- 2 years PA experience preferred.
- BLS/ACLS/PALS certification required
- Experience and proficiency in electronic medical records, Cerner experience a plus.
