Medical Director, Breast Imaging Radiologist Physician -SSM Health Breast Care in St. Louis

• Seeking an experienced Breast Imaging Radiologist for a planned leadership transition
• Medical Director position with 0.8 clinical FTE and 0.2 administrative FTE split
• Solid foundation, knowledge, and/or experience in Breast Imaging Radiology
• Ability to work collaboratively with our SSM Health Cancer Care team
• Three clinical locations covered

A growing group seeks an additional fellowship-trained breast radiologist to join an excellent and collegial team of five sub-specialty breast radiologists. Due to a planned transition, they are looking for a candidate with leadership experience to help advance the group and engage expertly with a multi-state, not-for-profit health system. The group values clinical excellence and work-life balance. This unique team was established four years ago and is employed by the hospital to provide top-tier breast imaging services across three facilities. The program oversees more than 90,000 breast imaging exams annually. Operations are evolving to support an ideal workflow for breast imagers. SPECTRA PACS mammography equipment was recently installed this year. On-site dedicated breast diagnostic nurse navigators are present at each location, along with a robust high-risk program supported by breast high-risk nurse navigators. Each radiologist has a dedicated nurse navigator present daily in clinic. The team includes highly experienced multidisciplinary professionals, including fellowship-trained breast surgeons.

Our geographically distributed eight breast imaging locations are directly supported by our six comprehensive breast centers and multidisciplinary care teams inclusive of radiologists, pathologists, surgeons, oncologists, and dedicated nurse navigators in each submarket of St. Louis. Annually, this team cares for over 60,000 patients through the delivery of screening mammography, diagnostic services, biopsies, and surgeriesa number that has grown significantly year after year. Each SSM Health Breast Care Center offers the latest in Hologic 3D mammography and utilizes GE PACS, along with PowerScribe 360 voice recognition dictation systems
