The Division of Gastroenterology at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York has an immediate opening for a full-time general gastroenterologist. While not required, applicants with experience in GI motility disorders will be considered favorably.
This position is ideal for candidates with strong clinical skills, including care and management of patients with general GI issues; a commitment to academic medicine, including clinical research and teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows; and providers who work well with others to share general GI consult service in a hospital setting. This position with give candidates an opportunity to see patients in a busy GI clinic setting and perform routine endoscopic procedures in hospital settings, as well as an affiliated ambulatory surgery center.
Training and experience in the care of patients with inflammatory bowel disease, GI motility disorders, and advanced endoscopic skills will be favorably considered but are not absolute requirements.
Our onboarding offices will assist with Visa applications, malpractice coverage support, the New York State licensing requirements and process, as well as any relocation needs.
