Rheumatologist (MD/DO) – BlueBoulder Health

Idaho • Flexible Schedule (2–5 Days/Week) • High Autonomy • Top-Tier Compensation

BlueBoulder Health is a fast-growing, physician-led specialty group focused on Rheumatology and Neurology, operating modern clinics across the Southwest and Southeast with 10+ high-performing providers.

We are now expanding our flagship footprint in Idaho and are seeking a rheumatologist who wants either:
(1) maximum lifestyle flexibility, or
(2) the chance to work hard and be compensated at the very top of the market.

You pick your schedule. We pay appropriately for performance. The model is simple and fair.

Why BlueBoulder?

We built a private-practice system where rheumatologists maintain true autonomy, enjoy strong support, and get compensated based on the work they choose to do.

Choose Your Lifestyle — You Set the Schedule

  • 2–3 days/week for physicians prioritizing quality of life

  • 4–5 days/week for high performers looking to maximize earnings

  • Alternative models: 1 week on / 1 week off, 3-day clusters, etc.

We don’t judge the schedule you choose — we simply compensate accurately.
Those willing to put in the work are paid exceptionally well.

Compensation

$300,000 – $500,000+ all-in, depending on:

  • schedule,

  • productivity,

  • experience.

High-productivity physicians routinely exceed the top end of the range.
Lower-volume/lower-schedule physicians remain well-supported and fairly compensated.

What You’ll Do

  • Diagnose and manage all rheumatologic conditions

  • Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans

  • Interpret imaging/labs and oversee rheumatologic procedures

  • Work with a designated scribe + MA to maximize efficiency

  • Maintain an excellent patient experience with minimal administrative burden

  • Optional: participate in research, trials, or leadership roles

  • Optional: help shape clinic expansion as we scale across Idaho and beyond

What We Offer

  • True autonomy — no micromanagement, no hospital bureaucracy

  • Dedicated MA + scribe to eliminate admin load

  • Exceptional work–life balance with flexible scheduling options

  • Comprehensive benefits package

  • Leadership and practice-building opportunities

  • A collaborative, high-performance environment that rewards effort

Qualifications

  • MD or DO

  • Board certified / board eligible in Rheumatology

  • Eligible for or willing to obtain an Idaho medical license

  • Excellent diagnostic and interpersonal skills

  • Strong patient-facing soft skills and bedside manner

  • Comfort with tech-forward EMR systems (or willingness to learn)

Preferred:

  • Entrepreneurial mindset

  • Leadership potential

  • Experience with or interest in clinical research (optional)

Growth Path

BlueBoulder is scaling nationwide. Once established in Idaho, you’ll have the option to:

  • relocate to another state within our network,

  • lead or open additional clinics,

  • shape strategic operations,

  • or simply maintain your preferred flexible schedule in Idaho.

This position is ideal for a rheumatologist who wants control, income upside, and the opportunity to build something meaningful without hospital-system barriers.
