First Physicians Group of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is recruiting for a Physician Assistant to join our FPG Urology practice in Venice, Florida.
Opened in 2021, SMH-Venice Hospital is located on a 65-acre campus and features a 365,000-square-foot, 3-story hospital currently licensed for 178 private patient suites, a 28-bed emergency care center, and 8 surgical suites. Construction continues into 2024 to add 34 additional private rooms as well as expansion of the ER to 61 rooms, and space created to add 8 more surgical suites.
SMH-Venice was designed with a growing community in mind and a master plan of providing 400 private inpatient suites with complementary sized emergency room and surgery services to ensure quality care and access.
Responsibilities:
- Full time Physician Assistant (PA-C) position on staff at one hospital
- Busy practice made up of four outstanding Urologists and one Physician Assistant with large support staff.
- Primarily clinic based with consult service; First Assist responsibilities are optional.
- Monday Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- ER Call will include 52 weekdays per year and one weekend a month.
- Urologists will work in tandem with PA-C and are committed to teaching.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited master s degree program
- Current board certification
- Active or eligibility for licensure by the State of Florida
- BLS
- DEA Certificate
- New or experienced PA-C with Urology interest is encouraged to apply.
