Seeking an LVAD Cardiothoracic Surgeon in Fort Worth, Texas

Job Description

Texas Health Physicians Group is seeking an LVAD Cardiothoracic Surgeon in downtown Fort Worth, Texas

Requirements:

  1. MD candidates
  2. Current Texas license
  3. General Surgery residency completion required from an accredited ACGME program
  4. Cardiothoracic surgery fellowship completion required from an accredited program; This position is to be filled by a surgeon skilled in LVAD.
  5. Board-certified or board eligible candidates required.
  6. Ability and desire to support a growing team and align with the needs of the program.

About the position:

  1. This is an employed position by Texas Health Physicians Group with competitive compensation and benefits package.
  2. Texas has tort reform and no state income tax!
  3. Located on the campus of Texas Health Fort Worth (THFW), the biggest hospital in our system. THFW is a hub hospital with several small and medium hospitals sending referrals. 
  4. This is a new practice. The call is shared with other cardiothoracic surgeons on staff.
  5. This is a wonderful opportunity to be closely involved in hospital leadership and in building a structural heart program.
