The West Virginia University School of Medicine s Department of Family Medicine seeks a Family Medicine physician (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to work in Morgantown, WV.
Duties: This academic faculty position will include clinical practice in the area of Family Medicine. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed a family medicine residency program and be board eligible/certified in Family Medicine. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

The West Virginia University Health System is West Virginia s largest health system and the state s largest employer. The System has undergone significant expansion in specialty and sub-specialty care in areas such as cancer, heart and vascular, and neuroscience, among many others. The Health System operates West Virginia s first and only multi-organ transplant center, and opened a new, 150-bed Children s Hospital in September 2022. The Department of Family Medicine includes 26 faculty, 5 Advanced Practice Providers, 18 residents, and 1 population health fellow.
Today, the WVU Health System has more than 2,400 licensed beds, 3,900 providers, and nearly 30,000 employees. Anchored by a 700-bed academic medical center in Morgantown, the Health System includes more than 20 member hospitals that collectively serve a multi-state region that includes West Virginia, Western Maryland, Eastern Ohio, and Southwestern Pennsylvania.

The area offers the cultural diversity and amenities of a large city in a safe, family-friendly environment.
