Children s Nebraska, with the University of Nebraska Medical Center, is currently recruiting a Pediatric Infectious Disease physician. We are seeking a candidate who has a track record of extramural funding research in the field of pediatric infectious diseases. The faculty member would receive a competitive research support and resource package designed to ensure career success as a physician scientist. The ideal candidate would also be expected to help mentor trainees and junior faculty. Research will be the main role with this position in addition to some clinical responsibilities in general ID or transplant/immunocompromised patients based on the candidate s passion. The successful candidate will hold a faculty appointment at the University of Nebraska Medical Center commensurate with rank and experience. Candidates will be expected to be Board-eligible or Board-certified in Pediatrics and in Pediatric Infectious Diseases and eligible for licensure in the state of Nebraska.
The Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at UNMC includes an 11 faculty member team who split the general PID and a transplant/immunocompromised services. We have an APP, Pharm ID, an active Pediatric ID fellowship and clinical and research support staff. Research start-up and gap funding, and infrastructure for clinical, basic science, or translational research can be accessed through the Child Health Research Institute.
