Experienced  Trauma/Orthopedic Physician Assistant (PA)  needed for Johnson City Medical Center, a Level 1 Trauma Center.  Johnson City Medical Center is the flagship hospital for Mountain States Health Alliance, a 14 hospital system located in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.     

Outpatient Clinic Setting/ Operating Room/Inpatient Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats new and chronic orthopedic problems
• Fracture management (reductions)
• Assists in surgery
• Casting and Splinting
• Pre- and Post-Operative care
• Injection therapy and joint aspirations
• Physical Therapy and Rehab 
• Total Joint Arthroplasty
• Trauma: single and multi-extremity fracture management at a Level 1 Trauma Facility
• Arthroscopy, RTC/Labral Repair
• Experience with Upper Extremity/Hand
• Consults
• Inpatient service and ER admissions
• Medical record management and discharge summaries
• Emergency department and taking ED/Hospital/Trauma Call
