Family Medicine Physician Job at First Physicians Group in Sarasota, FL

Established as the employed medical group of  Sarasota Memorial Health Care System (SMHCS) since 1994, First Physicians Group is one of the foremost primary and specialty care groups on the gulf coast of Florida.

Now with over 600+ providers (physicians and advanced practice) providing care in 49 specialties across 70 different practice locations in both Manatee and Sarasota counties, we continue to be committed to providing the highest quality healthcare to our patients in the communities we serve!

With continued growth and planned expansion into southern Sarasota County, we are now actively seeking Family Medicine physicians to join our primary care offices in the following cities:  Sarasota, Venice, and North Port, Florida.

Practice Information:

• NEW opportunities to join busy collegial practices with existing volume to quickly ramp up new physicians.
• Excellent call schedules of 1:5 or greater.
• Opportunities for  Inpatient/Outpatient or Outpatient only practices.
• If outpatient only, FPGs Hospitalist group will cover inpatient admissions at both hospitals. No OB. 
• Clinic hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00AM to 4:30PM, providing an excellent work/life balance. 
• Clinic volume averages 18-20 patients per day. 
• Preference  will be given to physicians with an  active Florida Medical  license.

Benefits Highlights:

• Contract includes a 2-year guaranteed base salary. Physicians can transition to a generous pay model after 2 years.

• A Commencement bonus and  Relocation Allowance is offered. 
• Four (4) weeks of PTO  year 1; 5-weeks of PTO offered years 2 and beyond.
• As an employee of a public, State of Florida organization, physicians are entitled to  sovereign immunity.  No tail insurance is required should you leave our practice.
•   We are a not-for-profit organization   501(c)(3).  Physicians can participate in the  Public Service Loan Forgiveness program  if employed by FPG. 
• Florida does not have a state income tax.
