ECU Health Physicians and The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine are seeking a fellowship trained BE/BC Geriatric Psychiatrist. The successful candidate will join a growing academic division. New graduates and visa candidates are welcome to apply.
The new ECU Health Behavioral Health Hospital, a 144-bed behavioral health facility, will open in the fall of 2025. The new facility will include up to 24 inpatient beds dedicated to the mental health needs of geriatric patients.
Opportunity exists to serve as fellowship director for a new geriatric fellowship for interested applicants.

Inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities will include seeing patients at the ECU Health Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine outpatient clinic and the ECU Health Family Medicine Monk Geriatric Center as well as providing inpatient consults
Opportunity to develop a consultation service for multiple nursing homes within close proximity to the medical center
Support from and collaboration with 4 neuropsychologists
Monday-Friday 8a – 5p schedule with rotating night call by phone
24/7 resident coverage including taking first call
