We are seeking a highly dedicated and skilled HIV Specialist Physician to join our dynamic healthcare team. As an HIV Specialist Physician in our Ryan White Part C Program, you will play a crucial role in the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care of individuals living with HIV. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing compassionate and evidence-based medical care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and provide comprehensive medical care to individuals living with HIV/AIDS.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including antiretroviral therapy, and address co-morbid conditions.
- Monitor patients' progress, assess treatment efficacy, and make adjustments as necessary.
- Provide preventive care, counseling, and education to patients to improve their overall health and well-being.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, social workers, and case managers, to ensure holistic care.
- Participate in research, quality improvement initiatives, and program development to enhance patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide primary care to patients when not seeing Ryan White patients.
Qualifications:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Infectious Diseases.
- HIV Specialist if not Board certified in Infectious Diseases.
- Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Experience in the diagnosis and treatment of HIV/AIDS, including antiretroviral therapy.
- Strong commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, interdisciplinary healthcare team.
