Research Physician - Clinical Research Job with University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, NY

The Department of Public Health Sciences (PHS) at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry is recruiting tenure-track faculty at the level of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor, specializing in Cancer Epidemiology.

• Attract and maintain extramural research support, demonstrate excellence in teaching, mentoring and expand research partnerships within the university and community.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Epidemiology (PhD, ScD, MD or equivalent) or in a closely related field with a strong emphasis on research design and statistical methods, specifically within the area of cancer epidemiology.
• A minimum of two years of postdoctoral research experience, an established record of peer-reviewed publications, and a demonstrated ability to obtain extramural funding.
• Experience or research in lung, pancreatic, breast, and colon cancer screening, as well as hepatocellular cancer and lymphoma, and those studying health disparities in cancer care and outcomes preferred.

Pay Range

$100,000 to $212,100 a year

The referenced pay range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
