WE'RE OFFERING: $400,000 year annual salary for a full-time Hospitalist Physician.
SHIFT SCHEDULE OPTIONS: 7 on/7 off or 5 on/5 off Block Schedules.
ALSO AVAILABLE: Occasional Part-time PRN Help, usually 1 block of 3-5x shifts/month. PRN shifts @ $2200/day.
COVERAGE NEED: 1099 based Hospitalist Coverage. Can be short or long-term, or 1, 2 or 3 year full-time contracts. Low encounter Day shifts with light pager call. Block Schedules.
LOCATION: Southeastern Colorado, about 2.5hrs from Colorado Springs.
START DATES: Anywhere between January 2025 > March 2025 can be accepted.
SITE DETAILS:
All Ages Patients, best suited for a MED-PED or FM Residency Trained, Hospitalist Physician.
Lower encounters, no procedures, required. 12hr day shifts with light pager call. 8a-8p on-site. 1-2 admits/discharges per day avg.
Nurse shift change is at 7 a & 7p so they can be flexible as to when morning rounds start but ideally 7 or 8am.
Round, admit, discharge to begin your shift and then you are free to leave but will be on pager call. Usually on-site for just 4-6 hours.
Provider will be expected to return to facility for deteriorating patient or new admissions.
If a new admission arises over-night you will take a call from the ED, accept the patient & can request tuck in orders.
This will allow you to get hands on the patient the next morning (versus having to go back in that night).
General surgeons take call and round on their own patients.
Half of ALL the patients are in swing beds.
Critical Access Hospital.
PS-I can also easily set someone up with an opportunity to speak with someone at the facility to get all insight needed/ any questions answered.
