The Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Carolinas Medical Center/Carolinas Rehabilitation and Levine Cancer Institute is offering a one-year fellowship (July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025) in Cancer Rehabilitation for a board eligible/board certified Physiatrist. Carolinas Rehabilitation (CR) and the Levine Cancer Institute (LCI) are premier institutions within the southeast delivering rehabilitation and cancer care, respectively.
Highlights:
- This fellowship is based in the Charlotte metro area
- Unique opportunity to learn in a well-established oncology rehabilitation practice that spans care throughout the cancer spectrum
- Fellows will have clinical experiences for inpatient rehabilitation at CR, outpatient clinics within LCI, electives in oncology care, and consult evaluations at Carolinas Medical Center
- Additional experience will be available within the Department of Supportive Care at LCI, including exposure to integrative oncology, palliative care, survivorship, geriatrics, psychiatry, clinical nutrition, and outpatient rehabilitation therapy
The fellowship will also allow for other clinical and research opportunities for professional growth and development, exposure into program development, understanding of operational needs for programmatic success, and leadership development.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Excellent clinical and academic credentials
- Highly motivated and desire a challenging clinical/research environment
- North Carolina Medical License and DEA is required
