Job Description

Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts which consists of an academic medical center, three community hospitals and the region’s largest multispecialty group. Our flagship hospital, Baystate Medical Center, is home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate.  We are seeking an experienced Internal Medicine Physician to join our organization.

Position Highlights -

  • The Hospital Medicine Division at Baystate Health consists of over 250 dedicated physicians & APPs practicing evidence-based medicine throughout our 4 hospitals in western MA.
    1. Baystate Medical Center, our 716-bed flagship hospital in Springfield, MA, is a level 1 trauma center and tertiary care center. Our hospitalists also provide services at our community hospitals, which are within a 20–45-minute radius.
    1. We offer a 7on/7off schedule, 10-hour shifts split between Baystate Medical Center and our three community sites. Excellent support from swing shift and nocturnist providers.
    1. Our hospitalists are responsible for more than 40,000 discharges annually system-wide across all medical and surgical subspecialties, accounting for more than 250,000 encounters throughout our four hospitals.
    1. Baystate’s academic environment is well-suited to promote your professional development and career goals. We offer a hospital medicine fellowship to enhance your business knowledge for future leadership roles, as well as an Academic Teaching Academy to foster growth in a continuous learning environment.

     

    Qualifications: ABMS BE/BC in internal medicine. We seek physicians dedicated to a hospital medicine career. Hospitalist experience strongly preferred.
