Dentist - Prosthodontist Opportunity – HJ Heinz VA Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA (Aspinwall)

Description: The VA in Pittsburgh seeks a highly qualified, board-certified Prosthodontist to care for Veterans at our HJ Heinz campus in Aspinwall, PA. The practitioner will provide services in assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and post-treatment care.

Practice Highlights:

  1. The individual will be experienced and competent in all phases of Prosthodontics including but not limited to:
    1. fabrication of fixed, complete, and removable dental prostheses;
    2. simple and complex dental rehabilitations;
    3. treatment of the severely worn dentition;
    4. treatment of orofacial trauma;
    5. treatment planning for preprosthetic surgery;
    6. restoration of osseointegrated dental implants;
    7. diagnostic procedures consistent with the practice of Prosthodontics;
    8. treatment of cosmetic and functional defects resulting from service trauma and other procedures consistent with the practice of Prosthodontics.
  2. The individual must be proficient in assessment, diagnosis, treatment and post-treatment care in all the above areas. They must be trained and competent in providing Basic life Support (BLS). They must be able to manage medically complex patients and provide appropriate prosthodontic treatment.
  3. The individual must be able to work collegially with other dentists and physicians, and should possess the skills, both interpersonal and professional, to work with residents in Prosthodontics, other dental specialties and Advanced General Dentistry.
  4. Assignment includes advanced understanding and use of the computerized record system.

Work Schedule: Full time, Mon – Fri, 8:00am – 4:30pm

Basic Requirements:

  1. DDS or DM from a school approved by Secretary of VA, AND
  2. Completion of, or currently completing, a residency program in general practice or specialty, or comparable experience as a dentist actively involved in treating medically compromised patients, AND
  3. Hold a license at time of appointment in any US state or territory
  4. Preferred: Master of Science in Dentistry MS/MSD

Benefits Highlights:

  1. Salary $235,000 - $315,000
  2. Regular cost of living pay increases and eligible for annual performance bonuses
