Pediatrics - Cardiology Job at WVU Medicine in Morgantown, WV

West Virginia University School of Medicine,  Department of Pediatrics  is seeking a BE/BC  Pediatric Cardiologist  to join our growing Division of Pediatric Cardiology in Morgantown, WV. The successful candidate will support our patient population  on the Children's Hospital campus and throughout the state through our  robust pediatric cardiology outreach program  that includes outreach clinics, telemedicine clinics and outreach diagnostic testing.  We currently have specialists in the areas of general cardiology, advanced imaging, interventional catheterization, noninvasive and invasive electrophysiology, adult congenital heart disease and preventive cardiology.

Qualifications:

MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent

Eligible to obtain a state medical license

Board certified / eligible in Pediatric Cardiology

WVU Medicine Children s Hospital  is a tertiary care center for the state of West Virginia, Western Maryland, Southwestern Pennsylvania, as well as Southeastern Ohio. We have the only cardiothoracic surgery program in the state, and we offer surgical interventions for the full range of congenital heart defects.

Our new 150 bed Children s Hospital has  a full suite of pediatric operating rooms, cardiac catheterization lab/interventional radiology, and GI-endoscopy with dedicated pediatric anesthesia staff. WVU Medicine Children s is a Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center, with plans to become Level 1, as it is for adults currently. J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital is the only hospital in West Virginia with a pediatric cardiac surgery program, the only epilepsy monitoring unit in the state equipped to serve children, and the only hospital in the state to receive Magnet status for nursing excellence.
