Wilkes Regional Medical Center (WRMC) has been caring for our community for more than 80-years and was established to care for the sick and injured.  Our mission is to strive to provide comprehensive, high quality and cost effective health care to the citizens of Wilkes County and surrounding areas.Our Vision:  Wilkes Regional Medical Center will be an outstanding medical center dedicated to the health of our communities demonstrated through quality-focused care, excellent customer service, and trusted relationships with those we serve, employees, medical staff, and community partners.

Wilkes Regional Medical Center is owned by the Town of North Wilkesboro, managed by Carolinas HealthCare System, and governed by the Hospital Operating Corporation, a conscientious team of community leaders who volunteer their time.  We are licensed for 130-beds, including a 10-bed skilled nursing unit.  Through our off-site facilities we have expanded our outpatient services to include a Dialysis Center, Home Care and Hospice, and a state of the art Rehabilitation Center.

A physician network, Wilkes Physician Network (WPN), has been established in coordination with Carolinas HealthCare System (CHS) and we continue to add primary care physicians and specialist to this network.  Offices with the Network are located in our prestigious Medical Park Campus within a quarter mile from the hospital that houses 40+ physicians and other medical staff services.   

Wilkes Regional Medical Center is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.  The seal of accreditation is accepted nationwide as the highest standards of medical care in personnel, equipment and organization.

Location: Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Wilkes is an outdoors lover's paradise.
