Virtua Voorhees

In the center of everything...and away from it all--This is the motto of Voorhees, New Jersey. Located in Camden County and less than 20 miles east of Philadelphia, Voorhees lies between New York City (38 miles) and Washington, D.C. (200 miles). The area offers many recreational and educational opportunities. The New Jersey State Aquarium features over 80 exhibits with more than 5,000 fish and aquatic animals of some 800 species. The USS New Jersey, the most decorated battleship in history, is again in her homeport on the Camden Waterfront, across the Delaware River from Penn's Landing in Philadelphia. The Walt Whitman Cultural Arts Center, a multi-cultural literary, performing, and visual arts center, offers programs that continue the legacy of its namesake.
