The Vinita Health Center is a 95,000 square foot facility that opened on September 2012 as part of a Joint Venture with the Indian Health Service. It is one of Cherokee Nation's largest Health Centers with a full clinical scope of services. It is filled with beautiful Cherokee artwork reflecting the outdoors and featuring Cherokee National Treasure Artists. This location was the first in Cherokee Nation to offer a fully staffed workout facility for patients and teaching kitchen to use to promote health and wellness as part of the overall mission of Cherokee Nation Health Services.

Establishes in 1871, Vinita is the second-oldest town in Oklahoma, located off of I-44 and the Historic Route 66 in Northeastern OK. You're less than an hour south of Joplin MO for easy commuting. Vinita is a historic town of about 6,000, is the county seat for Craig County and is also near the site of the Battle of Cabin Creek. This battle was one of a few Civil War battles fought in Oklahoma; Cherokee’s fought on both sides. Vinita is home to the new Anna Mitchelle Visitor Center on I-44 and the center features a museum of her pottery work and other Cherokee artists. Vinita is also well known for the “Glasshouse Restaurant” that spans over I-44, and was host to the world’s largest McDonald’s in terms of area.
