Since 1972, VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System (VASNHS) has been improving the health of the men and women who have so proudly served our nation. Be part of an innovative team serving our nation’s heroes. The VASNHS is comprised of a newly constructed 80+ bed medical center, which includes a 20 bed Psychiatric Inpatient Ward, and a 120 bed nursing home care unit, (4) major primary care clinics throughout the Las Vegas Valley, a dedicated Women’s Health Center in the medical facility, a centrally located Homeless Veteran Clinic, and Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) in Pahrump and Laughlin, Nevada. VASNHS provides healthcare services to more than 45,000 patients yearly, exceeding 450,000 outpatient visits per year. Services provided by VASNHS continue to expand to meet the increasing demands and dynamic growth of our Veteran patient population.
The VASNHS is currently affiliated with over 49 institutions and provides health professional training in 38 degree and certificate programs, and annually, provides health professional training to almost 600 Graduate Medical Education and Associated Health Trainees, with primary Academic Partners and Affiliations with the University of Nevada School of Medicine (UNSOM) and Touro University of Nevada.
