Our goal at UT Health Carthage is to provide Panola County and surrounding area residents with as many advanced healthcare services close to home.

UT Health Carthage is the hub of a mini system serving the residents of Carthage, Panola County, and surrounding communities. 49 Operating Beds, including four surgical suites, 6-bed intensive care unit, obstetric and nursery beds. UT Health Carthage includes 9 active staff physicians and 47 courtesy staff members.

• 24-hour emergency department, designated as a Level IV trauma center

• Cardiovascular care, including calcium scoring, cardiac procedures, and cardiac rehabilitation

• General inpatient and outpatient surgical services, including podiatric and dental surgeries, as well as transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
• Full-time hospitalist services

• Mobile mammography
• On-site laboratory services
• Pulmonary testing and respiratory therapy
• Physician clinics located on the hospital campus offering family medicine, internal medicine, diabetes management, pulmonology, cardiology, gastroenterology, and obstetrics/gynecology services. Each facility is staffed with well-qualified physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses and support staff

• UT Health East Texas Center for Sleep Disorders offers diagnosis and treatment of sleep problems
• 23 private inpatient rooms equipped with telemetry monitoring to maximize patient safety
